Đối với một bản HD Remake, điều mà phần lớn người hâm mộ trông đợi gần như chỉ tập trung vào cải tiến về mặt đồ họa bởi đây cũng là mục đích chính mà hãng sản xuất hướng tới khi quyết định cho ra mắt những bản nâng cấp kiểu này. Về phần tựa game làm lại không chỉ một mà tới hai lần như Resident Evil HD Remastered mới được Capcom công bố gần đây thì rõ ràng nhận định trên lại càng đúng hơn.

May mắn là dựa vào những hình ảnh mới mà hãng game Nhật Bản vừa tung ra, Resident Evil HD Remastered cũng thể hiện sự vượt trội khá lớn về mặt hình ảnh so với phiên bản remake đầu tiên trên GameCube vào năm 2002. Môi trường, nhân vật và hiệu ứng ánh sáng đều có dấu hiệu được "tút" lại trở nên sắc nét và thuyết phục hơn rất nhiều
